A huge congratulations to all those who competed at the Victorian Championships and a big thank you to all those who went to the event and supported the team.  Despite the fact that only a handful of club members were able to take the Friday off to compete, the Nexus club did outstandingly and overall placed 7th out of the 27 teams entered.  It’s hoped that in future more weekend events will be run so that everyone will have the opportunity to compete.

Individually however the highlight performance was from head instructor Murat Karadenizli who took single-handedly home 2 golds medals and 1 silver medal, all in the brown belt division.  Once again our gym leader demonstrated superb technique under tournament pressure but still came out victorious.  Other notable performances include the gold and silver medals won respectively by Tarek Abu-Shaban in the Purple Belt division and Sam Isrh in the White.

Once again, congratulations to everyone who competed.  Keep up the training and you will continue to see the results!
