After spending a few months in Brazil training with many black belts, most notably Pedro Sauer, Murat is back in Melbourne taking classes again. Packed with loads of interesting stories, Murat had a great time and brought back a great new arsenal of techniques and skills. Thank you very much to Pedro and the kind Brasilians who looked after Murat and helped him with his training especially as Murat has been very quick to pass on his knowledge to club members!

On his return, Murat also performed a grading and has promoted the following members to a new rank: Hugh Ridgway (blue belt), Jadd Chahal (blue belt), Frank Doyle (blue blet) Kenan Malkoc (purple belt), Tarek Abu-Shaban (purple belt), Phil Grapsas (purple belt) and Andrew Lai (purple belt). A huge congratulations to all the guys on their well deserved promotions.

It certainly has been some exciting times for the club. However as always, training will continue as per normal and all classes will run on schedule. See you on the mats!
